"VALDA" is the third album from french Experimental Rock band TNHCH (The Night He Came Home), which cristallise a year plus period of collaborating with California-raised and now Rennes-based multi disciplinary artist & musician Hilary Galbreaith. After, directing several video clips and playing jointly with TNHCH for a handful of live shows in 2021 (including her own curated performance with the band at FRAC Bretagne), they sat down for a two-months residency at Art Center La Synagogue de Delme (east of France) during the summer of 2022.

This artistic bubbling mess ended up in composing and recording this new record in only six days, as in a sonic rush to express the vitality of this gifted collective gathering. Ideas were colliding, both visually and musically, the heat was tangible and we were urged by this flaming sun to push ourselves harder, never mind the sweat stuck on our drumsticks and pickles. "VALDA" is our common spit on the ground, for you to lick until your fragile tongues can take no more. A cyclic licking for what its worth !

All music was composed and lyrics were written by TNHCH and Hilary Galbreaith. This album was created in its entirety at the residency of French Art Center La Synagogue de Delme over a period of six days in July 2022 in Lindre-Basse, France.

Mixed by Tim Karbon in his Montreuil home studio during fall 2022.
Master and lacquer cut was handled by Mathieu Berthet for MB Mastering shortly after.
Pressed at La Manufacture Du Vinyle, France, in early 2023.
